I have been listening to conference on my iPod since we were out of town conference weekend. As I was listening today at work I decided I would also follow along and read the text of each talk on lds.org. It has been a very spiritual experience for me as I sit and ponder the words I am reading and hearing.
One of the conference addresses I listened to today might possibly be my favorite talk I've ever heard/read. It is the talk by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland titled "None Were with Him." What an amazing understanding of the last moments of my Savior's life. He delivered the information so beautifully and eloquently. I couldn't help but close my eyes at times and visualize Jesus and our Heavenly Father. The spirit was so strong I found myself tearing up at times thinking of the pain and sorrow He must have felt in that garden and on the cross. I also found myself thinking of what God the Father was going through as he watched his only begotten son on the cross suffering for mine and the rest of mankind's sins and transgressions. How wonderful is the sacrifice of our savior that we can repent of our weaknesses and overcome sin and death? I am grateful for Him and His sacrifice. I love Jesus. I am thankful for my Father in Heaven that gave his son for me.
